Bishop Tony Caldwell has been a steadfast force for good in Kansas City, dedicating his life to creating safer, stronger, and more compassionate communities. His leadership extends far beyond words—he takes action in ways that change lives.
He has spearheaded powerful campaigns to prevent and reduce gun violence among youth, including launching the “Guns Down, Gloves Up” program, which uses boxing and fitness as a positive outlet to inspire discipline, self-confidence, and hope. Through back-to-school supply drives and youth sports initiatives, Bishop Caldwell has given countless young people the tools and encouragement to succeed.
His dedication doesn’t stop with the next generation. He actively champions initiatives for the elderly, ensuring they are supported, respected, and cared for. He is also deeply involved in the fight against human and sexual trafficking right here in Kansas City, working tirelessly to protect and restore the dignity of victims.
As the founder of The Justice and Dignity Center, Bishop Caldwell leads a committed team of volunteers who work daily to uplift neighborhoods, feed the hungry, and create opportunities. He also partners with other nonprofits to help them achieve their own missions, multiplying the positive impact across our city.
When Bishop Caldwell speaks, he commands both respect and attention from people of all ages. He leads with integrity, compassion, and courage—never seeking praise, but deserving every bit of it. His work has touched my life personally, and the lives of countless others in Kansas City. Our community is better because of him, and his influence will be felt for generations to come.
